Anna Yeh is a Principal dancer with the National Ballet of Brno. Born in Los Angeles, California, she is half Japanese and half Taiwanese. She began training at the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet in LA before continuing her education at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, Junior Ballet Antwerp, and Landesjugendballett Berlin. Anna is a founder of Ballet Spotlight – a summer workshop series for young dancers in Japan.
Driven by a desire to give back to her Japanese roots and recognising the growing emphasis on technique and the “sport” aspect of dance, she founded Ballet Spotlight – a summer workshop series for young dancers in Japan. Through these workshops, Anna aims to create a supportive environment where students can explore the artistic and expressive side of ballet without pressure. By learning from professional dancers working around the world today, students gain firsthand insight into what it takes to thrive as an artist in this day and age.
